Program Training
"We are with You" participated in a training program that was organized by the ( Volkshilfe Austria) in cooperation with the Coexistence House in Sinjar. The training lasted for two days from 9th of May to 11th of May having 16 participants from nongovernmental and local NGOs. The training included lessons on writing the project's proposals, building work structures, steps for reducing the risks, and teaching the participants how to build their own investigations using Kobo platform. Sports For Peace
With pride and joy, we announce the launch of the popular football tournament today under the slogan "Sports for Peace." This tournament is taking place in the district of Sinjar and the southern villages as part of the community activities organized by the alliance of local Sinjar organizations, generously supported by the International Organization for Migration and funded by the Dutch government. Eight teams from the local community will compete in the tournament, and a single elimination system will be adopted to determine the winning team. The tournament will continue for a full week, and the winners and runners-up will be honored with a luxurious sports kit and special commemorative awards. This tournament reflects the spirit of solidarity and peace in our region, where people from different backgrounds and cultures come together to engage in sports and promote values of cooperation and mutual respect. Football brings people together, facilitates communication and understanding, and enhances the sense of brotherhood and love among community members. We express our gratitude to the International Organization for Migration and the Dutch government for their tremendous support for this important sports tournament. Official opening of the Integration and Community Empowerment
On Monday, May 22, 2023, the official opening of the Integration and Community Empowerment Center took place in Sinjar, under the auspices of the alliance of local Sinjar organizations, with the support of the IOM organization and funding from the Dutch government. The center will be dedicated to community events, various activities, psychological counseling, and diverse training programs for different age groups in the area. It will also serve as a safe and open space for women and children empowerment activities, offering skill-building courses in languages, computer literacy, drawing, literacy, knitting, and more. The center will be open for activities and to receive beneficiaries and coordination purposes from Sunday to Thursday every week, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
