Today, the "We Are with You" team visited the health center in Zorava and discussed the health situation in the area with the medical staff at the center. It was mentioned by the healthcare staff that there are very few suspected cases in the complex, and there are no critical cases requiring hospitalization at all. Therefore, the focus was on conducting awareness activities to keep the area safe and reduce the spread of the virus. A simplified lecture was delivered on how to handle suspected cases. Covid-19 / Kohbal
Today 24/10/2020, the "We Are with You" team visited Kohbal Complex. A total of 38 cases were visited, with 36 cases being in mild to moderate condition and two cases requiring oxygen. These two cases were transferred to Sunny General Hospital. The majority of the cases encountered today were in the recovery phase, with few individuals showing symptoms in the past three days. Rapid testing was conducted on seven cases, with three cases testing negative and four cases testing positive. We Are With you official permit as a non governmental organization.
We Are With You voluntary Campaign receives the official permit as a non governmental organization under the name (We are With You Organization for Healthcare This voluntary campaign was established in October 2020 in Sinjar by a group of doctors and health staff in order to help the people of the region who infected by Co Ro na Virus. This group was able to visit hundreds of families infected with CO viD 19 and provide them with health care and psychological support, in addition to break the barrier of fear of going to hospital or visiting helath centers within the community by providing facts and information related to the Vi -rus.. This group also presented several projects within less than a year with the support of the community, local and international NGOs (all of these projects were published on the group’s Facebook page). All the projects were related to the pandemic During this period of our work, we were motivated by passion and a sense of responsibility to provide healthcare services on a wider range in order to support the health institutions to serve the citizens. By the name of all the members of “We are with You”, we would like to thank everyone who could support us in order to continue providing assistance to those who were infected by the COv-ID-19 . We also would like to thank Mr. Sameer Sadiq, the director of coordination center of non governmental organizations in Kurdistan region, for his support and facilitating the receive of the permit . This voluntary work for a year was not easy at all, but we have succeeded in providing humanitarian assistance to our people in the area of Sinjar. With great joy, members of the "We're with You" organization for healthcare gathered for their first regular meeting after obtaining official registration from the Non-Governmental Organizations department, this important meeting took place on November 19, 2021, marking the organization's transition into an officially recognized civil society organization. Initially, the organization started as a voluntary campaign providing support and assistance to COVID-19 patients in Shingal. During the meeting, the members discussed a range of challenges that the campaign had faced in the past and how to overcome them. They also presented the projects that had been previously implemented by the campaign and emphasized the importance of working together to provide the best possible services to patients. Simultaneously, the members focused on future plans for delivering healthcare services in an area that is facing deteriorating health conditions. They identified the projects that needed to be implemented, with the aim of making them sustainable in the long run. Furthermore, during the same meeting, the members engaged with a group of friends and experienced individuals in the field of organizations, seeking their advice on developing the organization and securing projects for successful implementation in the region. Khaluha Ajmal-Org/ Support
With pride and gratitude, we would like to share that the people of Mosul have made a significant donation through the organization "Khaluha Ajmal." They have generously provided 10 oxygen cylinders and their accessories to our organization, "We Are With You." This important donation was coordinated in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Governor for Displaced Persons and Organizations. Reforesting the areas of Sinjar
We are proud to announce a tree planting campaign in the schools of Khanasor and Sinjar, in collaboration between "We Are With You" organization and "Sinjar Academy". This campaign aims to protect the environment and combat climate change by planting trees in schools. Ten schools in different locations in Khanasor and Sinjar have been included in this campaign. We strive to complete the tree planting in all schools and primary healthcare centers in Sinjar as part of our vision to preserve the environment and promote environmental awareness among students and the community. Tree planting is an effective contribution to improving air quality and reducing carbon emissions, and it is an important step towards maintaining environmental balance. We intend to continue this campaign to ensure the tree planting in all schools and primary healthcare centers in Sinjar. Sinjar Consortium Partners
We, the Sinjar Consortium Partners (Youth Bridge Development Organization, Sinjar Academy, Bassma Organization for Development, and We Are With You Organization), are excited to announce the start of our new year-long project (Promoting Community Stability and Empowerment Youth in Sinjar). The project will be implemented in Sinjar center and southern regions with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and funded by the Dutch Government in two parts: The first step : is to establish a community network comprised of community leaders and local authorities, as well as to launch various community initiatives, campaigns, activities, educational courses, and psychosocial support. Enhancing Community Stability and Empowering Youth in Sinjar
The Sinjar Consortium partners with the presence of the IOM held The external kickoff meeting of the (Enhancing Community Stability and Empowering Youth in Sinjar) project. This information session gathered the civil society and government institutions and services departments in the Youth Bridge Organization office in Sinjar district. The main objective of this meeting was to introduce the activities and aspects of the aforementioned project to the attendees, as well as to listen to their suggestions and observations on how to better implement the activities and envolve the community in the implemetation process.
